Shoestring Ministries, Inc. and what's in it for Him? FAQs
What is your message?
Our message is to encourage Christians to change their behavior by changing the question. The world consistently asks “What’s in it for me?” and we challenge Christians to instead ask “What’s in it for Him?”
What are you trying to accomplish?
Through our efforts, we envision the day when even 10% more Christians are actively involved in their local churches, ministries and service organizations. Can you imagine how your church would change if this came true?
Why are you doing this?
We are tired of sitting by while Satan takes hold of our fellow brothers and sisters. The world has influenced Christians to buy into the “me addiction” of the day. We rebel against that and want to help focus our eyes on Jesus and make each of our actions a conscious service for Him.
How are you going to get this message across to Christians?
We desire to have a global campaign to challenge and remind Christians to put God first in each and every decision. This will be accomplished via the red/white silicone bracelets, soft goods, curriculum, internet, and other means. Also, we plan to donate at least 10% of net proceeds to Christian or charitable organizations.
Who are you and what church are you affiliated with?
Though each of us is an active member of a local church, our pending non profit organization has no specific church affiliation. We are all Christians who love Jesus and want Him to be honored and glorified. Specifically, we come from all walks of life…some descriptions of us include physician, technical writer, homemaker, event sales coordinator, massage therapist, graphic designer, nursing student, and immigrant.
What can I do to help?
First, your prayers are needed to help this effort succeed. Also, we need your help getting the word out to your church and ministry leaders that this global campaign is underway and by purchasing these bracelets for your friends, family, and congregation. If a yellow wristband can help bring international awareness to cancer research, we are prayerfully confident that these red/white wristbands can do the same (and more!) for God’s people and in their service for Him.
